Family: Wife of  21years (Lori) is a teacher at the (RTC) Rehab and Treatment Center in Farmington. She is a great baseball mom and wife. Sons: (Cody-big brother) attends Piedra Vista High. He loves baseball. (Max-little brother) can’t get enough baseball either.

Assistant: Derek Martin (Infielders/Hitters)
Derek's collegiate experience started as a red shirt middle infielder at New Mexico State then transferred to Eastern New Mexico University as an outfielder and D. H. also played football for the Hounds for two seasons.  Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude from ENMU with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education, minor in Biology, and a Master's Degree in Sports Administration he coached 4 years at Portales High School as a Varsity Assistant and taught science. He spent one year at Clovis High School as a strength and conditioning coach.  As an assistant at FHS, he helped train and coach 5 state championship seasons. In 2009, he was named Varsity Assistant under Mike McGaha at Piedra Vista High School. He was selected as the 2010 BCA district 7 assistant coach of the year. In the off-season you will find him chasing "the call of the wild" hunting big game as an outfitter/guide.  His family includes wife Samantha, and sons Matthew, Dalton, and Hunter (2 dogs-coach and scout).
