In the fall of 2009, Piedra Vista had been looking for a name for our student section at all athletic events.  Submitted by a student through a naming contest, the section is named....THE BLUE CREW.   The Blue Crew is formed under strict guidelines and students are expected to "LIVE BLUE" in every aspect of their lives.  Please visit the link on the sidebar to read about "LIVE BLUE" is awe inspiring and deserving of a look not only by students at PVHS, but by anyone who is true Panther fan and feels that high school athletics are truly an educational process.

The model of expected behavior for all participants, whether athletes, parents, fans, or other, is to PURSUE VICTORY WITH HONOR!  Contests and performances are for the benefit of the student-athletes.  Please, leave a positive experience and memory for our youth.  Remember, even YOU represent your team, school, and community.  How will you be remembered?  For more information regarding sporstmanship please visit the New Mexico Activities Association.

Panther Athletic Philosophy

Piedra Vista High School feels that interscholastic activities, athletics and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities, although a privilege and not a right, are important parts of the educational process and should therefore be encouraged, directed and supported by Piedra Vista. The primary objective of interscholas- tic activities is to teach morals, instill character and prepare participants to be future leaders in their career of choice.
